We will cover a multitude of things each week that will guide you in serving virtual clients better. Did you know? Every person in your group will receive a FREE doula business journal! Why was this course created? The maternal mortality rates among African American Women and other women of color, are startling. As a birth worker and a WOC, it's become apparent that we (WOC) must look to ourselves to do the saving. Due to cultural changes, a barrier has been placed between the WOC and the traditions we once knew. This course was birthed with the WOC in mind; as they are less likely to hire a doula for support and are more likely to be subjected to microaggressions, systematic racism and be utterly ignored, which aids in their demise. Our Goal at ©Doula-Moula, is to do our part to help fill in the gap between WOC and their knowledge of their rights as a birthing/postpartum person. There are many brilliant women of color who are also birth workers, doing their part, but there is one piece missing: The virtual generation. *This course does NOT instruct on how to be a doula, nor does it certify. Those who complete the course will receive a certificate of completion. |
